Printing money

There is a lot of controversy lately about the government in the United States continuing to print money and increase the debt. It is strange to think that every dollar that is printed reduces the value of the dollar itself. Some may not realize how extremely damaging it could be to keep printing money as seen on Youtube, but does anyone ever really think about how the task is done? Not only that, but what must it be like to have that job and be the one who is literally printing off thousands of fresh American dollars.

Unfortunately, the type of machines that are used to print masses at amazingly fast speeds with accuracy and unmistakable crispness are not available in any local office supplies store. These machines are top-of-the-line, super expensive power house pieces of equipment that are designed specifically for the task at hand. The engines in this machine are as large as a car, if not bigger. The cartridge that holds the toner and ink are bigger than the average cartridge, but not crazy oversized. Even if with the importance of this kind of printer in society, toner will need to be replaced.

Printing money is a favorite past time here in America. It seems like we try to solve problems by making more solutions, except that it solves nothing. What it does do, though, is bring a few more jobs to the American people and give purpose to the printing industry other than the standards printing job. Who knows which manufacturer has their printer featured in Washington D.C. where the money is actually produced, but guesses would be HP or Canon. Either way, the inconsiderate printing of our money has provided a lot of people with job, though potentially even more without.
